The child of an Apollo mission engineer father and computer scientist mother, Dr G has always had an interest in science. After undergoing significant orthodontic and pediatric dental treatment herself (she is missing 10 teeth), she realized the importance of a healthy smile. It was this personal experience of great care as a patient that led her to choose the career path of a pediatric dentist. As a mother of two wonderful daughters, she also understands the concerns of parents!
Dr. Gonzales serves as both a trusted referral source for general dentists and other pediatric dentists. As well, she provides an honest second opinion for pediatric dental procedures performed under IV sedation in the office or under general anesthetic in a day-hospital setting. Dr. Gonzales is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist with extensive academic credentials and hands-on experience. After graduating from New Mexico State University with degrees in both biochemistry and chemistry, she moved to Dallas, where she completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Baylor College of Dentistry. Following her Doctorate and an additional two years in pediatric dentistry residency at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas and Texas Scottish Right Hospital for Children. Dr. Gonzales concurrently completed a Master’s degree in Oral Biology from Baylor.
Dr Gonzales also served as Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Baylor College of Dentistry before opening her own sedation dentistry practice, which she successfully ran for over 20 years.
